Good nutrition is essential to the health of older adults! Healthy eating gives your body the proper nutrients needed to maintain bone health and a healthy weight, and can reduce the likelihood or help manage of chronic illness such as heart disease and diabetes. Take a look at the infographic that our friends at the National Council on Aging put together, below:
Community Partnership on Aging offers a variety of options to assist older adults in maintaining proper nutrition. Whether it’s one of our daily congregate lunches, one of our scratch-prepared lunches that are combined with entertainment or a movie, assistance applying for SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program), or our new Produce Plus monthly food distribution program, CPA can help. While some services have income requirements, our lunches are designed to meet a variety of income levels and interests! For lunch information, call 216-650-4029; for assistance with SNAP or any of the other services, call 216-291-3902.
